Two events in two weeks, back to back, the Hankook Tires / JIC USA team made the trek from Summit Point, West Virginia to Road Atlanta, Georgia for the Super Street Time Attack Series. Three days of intense racing was planned as Tanner Foust was chosen to pilot the versatile Hankook Tires / JIC USA Nissan Silvia S15.

                On day one of qualifying, the Silvia was out on the track making very promising times but towards the middle of the day, the transmission broke and gave up forcing the Silvia to pit. Almost instantly, the Time Attack pit crew got to work trying to repair the Silvia so that there would be no lost time for practice. Though the efforts were there, the team was able to squeeze in a few more practice laps before the end of the day.

                Day two of qualifying had many ups and downs. Tanner was able to pull off the 2^nd fastest time within the entire group but the celebration was cut short due to a broken right control arm and right drive shaft on the Hankook Tires / JIC USA Nissan Silvia. With haste, the crew went right back to work on repairing the vehicle. The time that was clocked was reassurance to Tanner which gave him a little bit of confidence.

                The final day was another day filled with broken parts and fast lap times. As more laps were being clocked in by Tanner, the left control arm and drive shaft broke due to the overwhelming grip of the Hankook Tires. The team had to borrow parts off of a local friend’s drift S14. With replaced parts the Hankook Tires / JIC USA team was proud to announce a blazing time of 1:33.02 which landed us in the 2^nd fastest overall time. First place was crowned to a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup car that is used in the 24 Hour Daytona races with a lap time of 1:30.07. The Nissan was trailed by a Acura NSX with a time of 1:39.00. On average, most competitors were clocking in around 1:40.00 to 1:50.00. With the aid of the Hankook Racing Tires, many other competitors were intrigued by the performance capabilities of the Hankook Racing Tires. The Porsche 997 GT3 Cup Car team have mentioned that they would like to try that tire out as well.

                The weekend was filled to the brim with many events but Hankook Tires / JIC USA is proud to come home with another Time Attack win.
